==Avenger==
The [[USS Avenger]] under the command of Captain [[Grant, Derrick Hiram Ulysses|Derrick Hiram Ulysses Grant]], on a mission to confront Krynar forces near Betazed encounters the Romulan battle cruiser RIS Shadowhawk. After a battle during which the Shadowhawk was destroyed and the Avenger seriously damaged, several shard vessels show up.
In an effort to defeat the Shadowhawk, Captain Grant ordered the detonation of one of the Avenger’s warp cores (after ejection). Shortly after this detonation a spatial rift opened up, and sensors detected a ‘ghost ship’ in the form of the USS Copernicus, a ship destroyed three years prior.
