Personal History
Finbar was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, Land Continent of Earth. His baby years are unknown because he was left on a door step at an Orphanage in Halifax. Finbar was an established wrestler during his early life and competed in numerous Greco Roman tournaments. Although his first name read ‘Jerome’ on his basket when found at the orphanage, the Headmaster gave him the nickname ‘Finbar’ after the 21st century professional wrestler, Finbar Hughes. He grew up there with fellow Orphans until it burnt down when he was 17 years old. After the fire Finbar took on different odd jobs to survive which included, Fisherman, Dock Builder, bartender, and ultimately Professional Wrestler until he joined Star Fleet. His wrestling days were marked by traveling throughout North America for shows. Being on the Road took a toll on the young Finbar as he turned to alcohol and gambling. He realized he needed a steady profession, not only for his health but also for his mind. Finbar turned to Star Fleet for that stability.
Upon joining star fleet, he rose through the enlisted ranks achieving the NCO rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class then, being promoted to PO2. He wanted to do something more than just a regular enlisted Security NCO. He finally passed the Star Fleet Academy exam after failing to meet a passing score 4 times. He entered the academy as a security cadet struggling with his school work at first. He sought out help asking instructors for assistance which helped him graduate on time and with a decent grade.
After graduating, he was assigned to various star bases excelling at his job. He was then assigned as a armorer and firearms instructor which at first, he didn’t want. But after seeing that he was in fact a great instructor, he applied to a vacancy for an Academy Instructor.
