Personal History
The House of Mandok is a minor, but noble house with a long history of distinguished and honorable service to the Empire. It is currently out of favor in Imperial circles because of its head’s, Mandok, pro-Federation stance dating from the time of the Dominion War when he served side-by-side with Star Fleet officers and was suitably impressed with their courage in battle.
Kolvagh, along with his twin brother Koram, was raised in an environment that reinforced these beliefs. Concurrent with being taught traditional Klingon values, he was taught to value a strong and positive relationship between the Klingon Empire and the Federation. At the age of 18, his father sent him off to join Star Fleet while his brother followed family tradition by serving in the KDF. Mandok did this out of the belief that the Klingon/ Federation alliance was strong and that his sons needed to be part of both worlds if they were to thrive.
Kolvagh graduated from Star Fleet Academy and served on a variety of ships as a Tactical Officer in both peacetime and war – earning many medals for his bravery in combat and distinguished service. His last post before being recruited into the SFSIS was as Chief Tactical Officer of the USS Pershing. He was recruited into SFSIS because of his family contacts within the Klingon Empire and their strong pro-Federation stance.
The current whereabouts of his family are unknown. Although his father and brother are nominally part of the KDF, it is believed that they are maintaining a low profile and attempting to build a base of power through piracy and selective raids and attacks against the current corrupt regime
