Personal History

Zy'Zin was born to Tor and Gar'Zin on the planet Cait. Zy had a rather frustrating childhood. As he was born to the local town drunk, and the local town whore. Zy took a lot of punishment from the other Caitian children growing up. He endured name calling, bullying, and constant teasing.

Growing up, Zy grew a thick skin quick. Looking for solace, Zy found it in medical books, and hand to hand combat. When he was younger, another Caitian began disrespecting his mother. A fight soon broke out between the two of them. During the fight , Zy was cut across his right eye. Zy chose to keep the scar as a personal reminder of his loyalty to his mother Tor.

Zy had always found alien biology fascinating! The thought of seeing how the insides of others looked, and worked, was exciting to Zy. The thought of not only seeing internal organs and how they work, but being able to repair them, was even more fascinating then Zy had ever expected.

While Zy was out studying, his mom and dad were at home. Apparently, Gar was drunk again, and when Tor came home, Gar began to accuse her of being disloyal. Apparently there had been a candle on the table, and during the ensuing fight, the candle got knocked over. Within moments the house went up in flames and the two were consumed by the flames before they could get out.

Zy was contacted at the local library by the proper authorities and at that moment, right then and there, Zy decided that now was the time to join up with Star Fleet in his pursuit to become a doctor.

Zy's time at the academy was interesting for him. He had fun learning about all the different ways he could save lives, but the fact that neither of his parents would ever see the man he would become, really bothered him. Zy had kept to himself during much his years at the academy. He had not yet met anyone he felt was deserving of his loyalty. Now, however, the time had come for one chapter of his life to end, and another to start.
