A Weapons Systems Specialist (or just Structural Specialist) is an engineering position aboard Star Fleet starships and space stations. This specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the weapons systems, including phasers and torpedoes. They work closely with Weapons Systems Officers.
Weapons systems specialists are required to major in Weapons Systems, with a focus on a particular system; a minor in Tactical or Starship Tactics is recommended.
