Status of Parents:	Her mother, Gail, was a Doctor in the fleet before she left as she got pregnant with Jasmine's older brother, Scott and she then became a Doctor in the local Hospital in Ontario. Jasmine's Father, Matthew, was a Security officer in the fleet and he stayed in the fleet after Gail left but visited often. He left when Jasmine and her twin, Maria, were born so that he could be with his family. Her Father later died in his sleep of a massive heart attack, which came as a shock to everyone that knew him, because they all thought he was a fit because he exercised regularly

Personal History

Early Life: Her mother was a very caring woman and always did her best in helping others and was always there for them. Her sister Maria, although she was her twin, they were not identical in any way. Although they did get along very well, Maria's interests were very different. She had an older brother, Scott and had a good relationship until he was about sixteen, where he fell in with the wrong crowd and joined a motorcycle club. The group was known for causing trouble wherever it went. Scott's choice of friends caused a feud between Father and son which resulted in Scott saying he hated his Father and leaving home.

Jasmine had always been a 'Daddy's Girl' and very much like him. She was always very sporty as a child and she won medals in swimming and running which made her Father and herself very proud. Her Father had always encouraged Jasmine to enter competitions, in regret of not doing them himself, making him one of the most positive influences in her life. Her Father was always at her competitions, until he passed away suddenly when Jasmine was twelve. Although this was a painful experience for Jasmine and everyone that knew her Father, Jasmine had her best friend, Paige who inspired her to keep going and continue making her Father proud. She continued doing the competitions in her hometown as well as joining in more sports where she could.

Matthew was never far from her thoughts, which in turn made her want to learn about him and who he had been. When Jasmine turned fifteen her Mother gave her his personal belongings to explore. Among them were his memorabilia from his time in Starfleet. Although Jasmine was aware of Starfleet, her Father never really spoke about it much, but she knew he was proud to have served. With the thought of Starfleet in her mind, she began to spend more time in the local library, reading as much as she could about Starfleet academy, where she learned about famous Starships and their Captains. The more she read, the more she wanted to learn about Starfleet and pretty soon after, the idea of joining Starfleet began to appeal to her. When she mentioned the idea of joining Starfleet to her friend Paige, her best friend then came up with the idea that they joined together.

Star Fleet Academy: When she reached eighteen Jasmine applied to join Starfleet Academy. She was accepted soon after, along with her friend Paige. The idea of helping people and keeping others safe was something that she had always wanted to do. Therefore when she had looked at the choices, Security was best suited for what she wanted. Surprisingly, Jasmine was able to combine her studies with the occasion visit back home to visit family. She also found time to join in with the sporting activities at the academy. That was where she developed a keen interest in boxing.

Jasmine was struck a major blow when Paige quit the academy after only three months and thus destroying the dream of being in Starfleet together. Following Paige's departure, Jasmine felt herself to be at a loose end, not knowing what to do with herself. This is where she realized that she had other friends that would encourage her. One friend was Mike Hobritz, a fellow cadet in the same year and who was also a member of the Academy swimming team. Another friend was Mike's best friend Christian Grix who attend the sporting events although his motivations to be there were quite different and not sporting. Both of them encouraged Jasmine to continue and asked her why she wanted to be there, and upon reflection, she knew it was to honor her Father.
