Valkyrie Squadron

Valkyrie Squadron is an elite starfighter unit.

Formed of the finest pilots ever to graduate from Star Fleet Academy, Valkyrie Squadron primarily operates the Valkyrie Class Attack Fighter in combat situations. In humanitarian situations or for VIP transport purposes, it often operates Archangel Class Runabouts.

As an induction requirement, every member must have flown a number of combat operations and have passed Phase Three of either the Helm and Pilot Training or the Tactical and Operations Training courses, which makes them an Instructor in their own right. Many, but not all, inductees into Valkyrie Squadron were first members of Red Squad or Nova Squadron. Though it can be broken down into smaller units and assigned to any ship within the Special Response Force, its home base is aboard the USS Typhon.
