Lineage

The USS Beckett, CX-2000 is the first in the line of Beckett-class Star Cruisers. The Beckett was launched on Stardate 241803.03 in response to Star Fleet’s renewed commitment to its original goals of exploration and diplomacy.

As the first in the line, it is an experimental ship to test the efficiency of the design. It includes newly designed warp nacelles and a more efficient warp energy system, making it faster and more efficient than starships from the last 30 years. The design allow integrates new technologies developed out of the Krynar War, the Borg Invasion, and other technological innovations including reinforced quantitanium hull plating and gravitic torpedoes. Designed with families in mind, the Beckett also contains amenities not generally found on previous starship designs.

The Beckett is named for former Federation President and former Star Fleet Commander-in-Chief Jonathan Beckett.
