The United Nations (abbreviated "UN"), was an international organization comprised of nearly all nation states on Earth during the 20th and 21st century.
Succeeded by the "New United Nations" sometime prior to 2036, both organizations are referred to by the same name and initials.
New United Nations
The "New United Nations" was an organization in the 21st century, replacing the original United Nations by 2036, before the Third World War.
- In 2036, the UN declared that "no Earth citizen can be made to answer for the crimes of their race or forebearers".
By 2079, the alliance had in fact collapsed, during the post-atomic horror that was the aftermath of WWIII.
