Personal History

Pre-Teen

Turvek's parents met while serving on the Starship Shoyo. They fell in love and were married with in the year. Telval's parents did not approve of their marriage and had disowned their daughter. They tried for about three years to get pregnant. After the birth of their first child Survek. The doctors advised them that if they were to have another child they would be putting Telval's health at risk.

Fifteen years later they were surprised to find out that they would be expecting another child. Telval went into labor about three weeks early, and had died during child birth. With the death of his wife and another child to raise, Jason took a job at the Academy and Turvek and his brother were raised by their grandmother Lorraine.

While he grew up Turvek was not raised like his brother, so he was not taught how to control his emotions like other Vulcans. Turvek was very close to his brother, but Survek went and joined Starfleet at when Turvek was four. When Turvek entered school he was constantly in trouble for playing practical jokes on the other kids and the teachers. When he was about ten years old while visiting his grandmother he attempted to use the Vulcan nerve pinch on a wild dog, but the dog turned on him biting his right hand. The dog bit off his pinky finger and badly scared the rest of his hand. His father decided not to let the doctor's to replace the finger to always remind him of his mistake and to think things out before he acts.

High School

When Turvek entered high school he had a little more control over his emotions do to some help from his brother, but his brothers ship was lost in a worm hole just before Turvek entered school. During high school he met Dylan Reese. Turvek had to tutor Dylan through school. Before his senior year Turvek's grandmother had passed away. After hearing the news Turvek went in to a violent rage and ended up attacking Dylan. Dylan was able to defend himself and able to calm Turvek down.

Both Turvek and Dylan graduated high school at the top of their class. After graduation Turvek and Dylan spent a few years traveling and seeing different parts of earth. After awhile Turvek decided to join Starfleet and follow in his fathers and his brothers footsteps. He had tried to convince Dylan to go with him, but Dylan decided he didn't want to travel in space.

Academy Years

During the academy Turvek majored in security, and history. He also minored in Advance flight combat, weapon design, hand to hand combat and ship design. He also began taking fencing lessons to help control his anger. One of the Vulcan instructors at the academy had offered to train Turvek to control his emotions and take the logical path, but Turvek refused he felt his emotions were a defining part of him and he had more control now then he did when he was younger.

While he was at the academy his father had taken assignment on a starship in hopes of finding out what happened to Turvek's brother. Though Turvek did not want his father to go, but understood why he had to go.
