Personal History
Bradley (Brad) Turner was born on Earth in a medium size city in Kentucky. Brad’s father was a Star Fleet Engineer and his mother worked as an engineering consultant in the private sector. The two met on a Star Base when she was speaking at a lecture and his ship was docked for shoreleave. The two fell in love during the short two week period and were engaged to be married within six months. After the two married Jeremiah took a position on Earth where the two started a family.
Bradley was their first child and due to the extremely difficult pregnancy it seemed like he would be their only child. Brad grew up surrounded by all things engineering and enjoyed working in the shop with both his mother and his father.
When Brad was eleven when something surprising occurred: his mother became pregnant and gave birth to another son, Landon. Due to the age difference between the two brothers their relationship was always a unique one. The two however were always close and remain so to this day.
Bradley was an excellent student and after high school Brad joined Star Fleet Academy. While it was logical for him to major in engineering, Bradley decided to pursue a subject that would be more difficult for him and therefore entered the tactical field with an engineering minor.
After the Academy, Brad spent several years serving on various ships in various roles. Initially, Brad was simply a tactical officer. Throughout the years however Brad also served as Chief Tactical Officer, Strategic Operations Officer, Personnel Officer, First Officer, and eventually Commanding Officer.
After serving as Commanding Officer for several years Brad was engaged and married to the love of his life. Kaylee was a member of the crew on Brad's ship. She worked in the Support Department and the two quickly fell in love after meeting. When Kaylee became pregnant a year into their marriage, Bradley decided that it was time to stop chasing the stars. The two resettled on Earth where Bradley worked for Star Fleet Headquarters in various tactical roles. Bradley was occasionally asked to the Academy to be a guest lecturer and eventually as a guest professor. After a few semesters as a guest professor Bradley accepted a full time job at the Academy teaching at one of their extension campuses.
As was often the case in Brad's career he quickly climbed the ladder of success. Within a year Brad was the head of the tactical department of the extension campus and within two years he had been made "Deputy-Superintendent" of the extension campus. Considering the Superintendent was always stationed at the main campus located on Earth this meant that Bradley was in charge of the extension campus.
Bradley remained in this role for quite some time until he was contacted by his superiors and given a promotion to full Superintendent of the Academy. This of course meant that Brad, Kaylee, and their now 10 year old son once again had to move. Luckily it seemed that this would be the final move they would have to make.
