Personal History

His mother died at an early age. So early in fact, that Sam’s first and only memory of her was of her death bed. Samuel was enrolled in school while his father tried to play the role of single dad, and with much success.

This was tiring for Jacob Trent though. Sam’s father eventually remarried to a woman named Blythe Mackenzie. Shortly before their divorce, they had Mary. Mary stayed with her mother when they became divorced only two years later. Sam was twelve at this time.
Sam grew to love the sciences especially physics and computer science. Many years passed by and Samuel continued to excel at the sciences and philosophy. His father however became ill shortly after Sam was accepted into Star Fleet. Despite his father’s illness, his father urged him to go anyway. Sam went to Star fleet and graduated cum laude.
