The USS Titan is named for the giants of Greek Mythology, the quality of prodigious size, strength, and achievement, and for the 11th moon of Saturn.
The USS Titan, CL-2007 was launched on Stardate 20206.01 in response to the Romulan threat against the Federation. The ship has successfully survived battles against both the Borg and the Romulans and continues to serve honourably in the 2nd Battle Group.
