SuvwI' wa'DIch is a Klingon rank equivalent to Lieutenant Junior Grade in Star Fleet. It is often translated into English as Warrior 1st Class.
Lieutenant Junior Grade is a military rank, the equivalent of which is used by the service organizations of many civilizations. As a traditional naval rank, a lieutenant jg is a grade between ensign and lieutenant.
Onboard Klingon ships the SuvwI' wa'DIch was a junior officer rank aboard warships. A SuvwI' wa'DIch could hold the position of Second Officer onboard a Klingon Bird-of-Prey but not on board larger vessels.
Lieutenants jg onboard Klingon vessels were meant to serve as the bridge between the junior officers as well as enlisted toward the senior officers.
