A submolecular resequencer is a device that can be used to alter matter on a fundamental level.
In the 2370s, the crew of the USS Equinox added a polaron grid and a submolecular resequencer to their multiphasic chamber. This allowed them to convert the remains of captured nucleogenic lifeforms into a crystalline energy source to enhance their warp drive.
