Structural Specialist

A Structural Engineering Specialist (or just Structural Specialist) is an engineering position aboard Star Fleet starships and space stations. This specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the structural systems, including hull plating, the ship or station hull, and deck plating. They work closely with Environmental Control Specialists on the gravity systems.

Structural specialists are required to major in aerospace structural engineering. Often times they will also focus on gravity systems, structural dynamics, or defensive systems.
