Personal History
Scotty grew up on Earth, specifically in the Midwest in North America. From an early age he was a leader among all of his friends and peers. All of his teachers in school told him how he was one of the most assertive and distinctive personas they had ever met. Naturally, because of this, a career in the Academy and in Star Fleet drew him from when he began hearing about it. Really though his problem was deciding what he wanted to become in Star Fleet. A career in medicine or even science sounded good to Scotty, so he started asking all of all of his teachers, family, and friends what would be a good idea for him to enter the Academy as. Finally, Scotty entered the Academy as a Science student. He did decide, however, to emphasize his major in the Academy on the biological aspects of Science.
When he finally passed the entrance examination and made it to the Academy. Scotty began his long arduous trek through the Academy. He did allright in his first year, and finally managed to start some research in his second. By the time he was ready to graduate, he was helping some of the more prominent scientists at the Academy with their research.
Finally, Scotty was assigned to a very small research craft on the outer rim of civilization. Scotty was not very happy out researching on the front lines though. After several more months, Scotty finally got a transfer back to earth where he continued to work on some of the research he had been involved with back at the Academy. After several more years, he was offered a position at the Academy as an instructor. He accepted so because he would be able to continue his work while helping future generations at the same time.
