Personal History

Starc has born on her home world Vulcan. She had a twin brother T’Loc and spent most of her young days following him around as a tail, not really socializing much with any of the other children their age. She entered the Vulcan Learning Centre at a young age, primary due to her mom being an advisor there, and the fact that her day spent a lot of his time away on remote outposts.

Starc showed little to no emotion from a young age, even before she was taught to control them, and found no bound to any life form. As a child, she had no interest in tending to a pet, and rather concentrated on more logical endeavors.

At the age of 10, while on a field to a large crater on the planet’s surface, Starc contracted, what appeared to be a viral infection, and was immediately transported to a medical facility. After complete scans, no trace of the virus was found, but over the next few days at the facility, her jet-black hair turned lily white. She was finally diagnosed with Marie Antionette syndrome and treated. The only side effects of the sickness were her lily white hairy and a growth stun.

On returning to the Vulcan Learning Academy, Starc faced even more challenges, being the only Vulcan child with Lily white hair amongst all her dark-haired peers. There were options available to allow her to fit in better, but her dad had decided that it was a life reminder which would make her focus more on her studies and build her character. He was partly correct in his theory as Starc buried herself in her studies, focusing more towards the medical field than Science. She was determined to find solutions to genetic flaws found in so many species and solve the universe’s problems. The part her father did not consider is that Starc withdrew emotionally from everybody, including her own twin brother. Due to her outward appearance, her father could also not find a mate to bound with her, as was the culture. No one was interested in bounding their son to a Vulcan with a visible defect.

By the time her dad wanted to rectify his error, Starc was an independent young Vulcan woman, and would know nothing of it. Starc left the family home at the age of 17 and moved from the Vulcan Learner Centre to study medicine in a facility located on the other side of the planet.

Once again, her Lily-white hair, and the fact that she only stood 1.5 meters tall compare to the average two-meter-tall Vulcan made her stand out. Starc decided then, that if she was to stand out, it would be because of the grades and work rate and not something as minor as a cosmetic effect.

Starc’s studying paid off, as she earned her degree to practice medicine, and then went on further to earn her doctorate in Neurosurgery. Starc was looking to start her next degree when she heard her brother have suddenly left Vulcan for Earth and was joining Starfleet. As a Vulcan, it made no sense., neither of them had ever left the planet, and only knew the Vulcan way.

The next few weeks effected Starc emotionally, something she did not like. She tried to get to a logically conclusion on why her brother left but could not. She also could not work out why it bothered her so much, as they had not spoken for over a decade. She started researching Earth and Starfleet and something drew her towards deciding to leave Vulcan as well.

Starc applied through the Medical Centre she was training to join the Starfleet Academy, to find out for herself what her brother was looking for, and if she could adapt to a new world.

Starc was quickly accepted as her studies were excellent and took her first space trip to Earth to join the Academy. Starc was riddled with fear as she stepped off the transport onto Earth’s soil for the first time. Everything was different, yet nothing was different. She was still the exception to the Vulcan species, short, with white hair. Not only that, but she was now a Vulcan on Earth, A qualified doctor and had ten years or more on most of the other cadets.
