Starbase 440 is a Federation base, active as of 2368.


An Ullian delegation originally was supposed to travel home from this base.


Acting as their ferry, Captain Picard of the USS Enterprise, NCC-1701-D decided to bring them home instead when there was an incident involving one of his officers.
