Star Base 1

Star Base 1 was a Federation star base that orbited Earth in the early 25th century. The star base was the headquarters for all Star Fleet forces in the Sol System. It was destroyed on Stardate 20211.14.

Historical significance

The star base was critical in repelling a Romulan attack on Earth during the Second Federation/Romulan War.

It was destroyed by a Borg fleet on Stardate 20211.14. After the Borg were defeated on Stardate 20305.01, Star Base Alpha was moved via Tholian web technology to the former position of Starbase 1.
