Sphere Builder

The Sphere-Builders were a humanoid species native to a trans-dimensional realm. Their true name is unknown.

As one of the factions in the Temporal Cold War, they were responsible for the creation of a network of massive spheres in the Delphic Expanse.
Known only by their work, they created these spheres as part of their plans to colonize the Milky Way Galaxy.

Humanoids with yellow, hairless skin, they had blunt facial features and pale blue eyes. Due to their origins in another dimension of space, they suffered rapid cellular degeneration when they spent time in "our" dimension. Once in our dimension, they could pass through solid objects, using this ability to reach through protective casings of various technologies and cause damage. Their main offense was the firing of energy pulses from their hands, and their main defense being largely unaffected by weapons fire. They could be hurt by phase weapons, once they were set to modulate at a rotating frequency of 32.6 teracycles.

However, if they stayed too long in our dimension, their cells would suffer total disintegration, causing their death.

The Sphere-Builders first created a network of spheres in order to create spatial anomalies, which would reconfigure our space to suit their needs. Once reconfigured, space would in turn be uninhabitable and hostile to all other lifeforms. Since they exist in a dimension outside of ours, they were able to see alternate timelines that our own dimension might progress towards. Using this ability, they discovered that their invasion of the Alpha Quadrant would be stopped by the United Federation of Planets. With this knowledge, the Sphere Builders began manipulating the Xindi as a whole, puppeteering them into trying to destroy Humans before Humans destroyed them.

Eventually, the Xindi-Primates and Xindi-Arboreals began to doubt that the Sphere-Builders were gods, after Jonathan Archer was able to provide them with information and evidence that the Xindi people were being manipulated and lied to. When Archer and a team were able to stop the Sphere Builders' main weapon, and caused a chain reaction that destroyed the entire sphere network. The Delphic Expanse began to dissipate, and the Sphere Builders were forced back to their native dimension.
