A spatial rupture

A spatial rupture is a rift between space and subspace.

The pictured rupture (right) was created by spatially-inverted tetryon particles, which established a gateway between two universes.

A subspace containment field was incapable in stopping the rift from growing. This particular fracture in space emanated severe nucleonic interferences, making a positive transporter lock impossible.

The rupture was finally closed by bombarding it with a coherent graviton pulse, which neutralized the tetryon emissions.
