Personal History

Born on Bolarus IX to Mokk and Till Sota, a pair of self employed merchant traders, from an early age Tokk was always the ray of sunshine in his mother's day, even on days where they didn't travel close to any stars, she would remind him of the light he shon on her.

The last mission before Tokk was born, Till had chosen to stay on Bolarus IX to ensure her child would be born on planet, have proper roots, while his father Mokk left on a long term delivery. He never actually met his father until he showed up mere days before his second birthday party.

During the first two years of his life, his father's sister, Minn, had decided to stay with them, help her sister in law to raise Tokk while Mokk was away. Being so young, Mokk grew an attachment to her, one that he never truly appreciated until she passed away tragically on her way to Vacation on Risa.

From his second birthday when his father returned, right up until he joined the academy, Tokk spent the majority of his life aboard his parents cargo freighter, travelling the stars, exploring other worlds, meeting new people, and being exposed to different cultures. It was the only life Tokk had known, and he wouldn't have it any other way, he loved being out amongst the stars.

When Tokk was eight, they came upon some ship debris. Before starting the salvage operation, they encountered two life signs trapped in a failing escape pod, a Gorn named Jarkle Jh’al and her young son Torgen. After completing their salvage, and determining that having lost all her possessions, Jarkle had no plans, and nowhere to be, so they stayed aboard, and became part of the crew. Tokk was thrilled by this news, as he finally had somebody his own age to play with, somebody who would appreciate things at his level, after all, he was only a child himself.

In an enclosed, controlled environment like that, Torgen and Tokk would either become best of friends, or worst of enemies, and it wouldn't take long to get there. Lucky for Tokk, it was the former, giving him a close bond with somebody his age, somebody to explore the troubles and tribulations of growing up.

Having the ability to bond with a friend, even one as unlikely as a Gorn, filled Tokk’s life with the one thing that was missing. Something that a pet couldn’t fill, and that was somebody to get into trouble with, to live as a child with, somebody to experience the troubles of growing up with. There were numerous times where members of the crew had to step in and act as security to escort the two back for punishment. Nothing overly dangerous, or reckless, just things like being in the cargo bay on launch to snoop at all the new goods that came aboard, or hanging out in the airlock after curfew.

Always being fascinated by the operation of a starship, when Tokk became of age he applied, and was accepted to Starfleet to become the Tactical officer he dreamed of. His goal was to become the Chief Tactical Officer of a federation class carrier.

While in the academy, during second year, he met a fresh science recruit, Mitt, also a Bolian born on Bolarus IX. Prior to graduation they got married and lived in wait for graduation and their first assignments.

Upon graduation, Tokk was assigned to the USS Ticonderoga CA-1471, a heavy cruiser Avenger class ship where he served as tactical officer until its destruction in the Krynar war, while his wife Mitt was assigned to starfleet headquarters on Earth. All his shore leave was taken on Earth with his wife where they ended up having two children Toss and Litt.

The destruction of the Ticonderoga, and the entire Krynar war took a heavy toll on Tokk, much more than he had originally expected. He lost many friends, coworkers, and even fellow graduates. Tokk took reassignment back to earth where he lived with his wife to help raise their children, and work as an instructor at Star Fleet Academy. Tokk reassessed his life, and set new life goals that involved staying on earth with his wife and family.
