Personal History
Sebok was born to what was considered a traditional Vulcan family. His Father's given name was Tarik and his chosen profession was Scientist, an Exobiologist to be precise. His Mother Arel, worked at the Federation Embassy in ShiKahr City, serving as one of the many Ambassadors.
His education was strict and what was expected for the majority of Vulcan students. He lived mostly with his Mother, while his Father would work away often in pursuit of scientific knowledge. Though Tarik contacted his Son methodically. Never Sebok question his Fathers obligations towards him, he was one of the best in his field and it was logical that he be utilized to his full potential.
Arel would spend many an hour with her son and discuss the finer points of diplomacy, though they were a traditional family and had what off worlders would consider a strict moral code. His Mother told him that the truth was a powerful tool and an ally in negotiations, but there were times when it did not serve to be completely honest. Those times were of course few and far between, Arel did not want her son to be inflexible, but still true to the Vulcan culture.
Like most Children, it was a struggle at times for him to contain his emotions, this led to the occasional refusal to comply with the directives of his parents. One such occasion led to Sebok leaving the family home in an angered state, which saw him spend several days in the ruins of the T'Karath Sanctuary. He was joined by his friend Vronn, he who humans would call a best friend. The two boys spent four days alone, until it became apparent they were ill equipped to survive alone and that their reactions were illogical. That plus they hadn't taken enough food to last long.
Over the course of his schooling, young Sebok considered his options for his future. Of course the lives his parents had chosen held appeal, but ultimately he decided to go his own way and favoured a career in Star Fleet. A journey of discovery was what he wanted.
Sebok took his studies very seriously, opting for training in Engineering and Operations. During the course of his training, Sebok was involved in a shuttle crash. He and several other cadets were crammed into a class two shuttle, which according to the Instructors and other Cadets generated something called Class 2 claustrophobia. Investigations revealed the crash was caused by an unforeseen technical fault, thankfully nobody was killed. Sebok however suffered with a broken left arm and leg.
Sebok’s roommate was Cadet Richard Carson, a serial womaniser who would consistently try and get the Vulcan to let go and have a good time. He would offer Sebok his insights into anatomy, particular certain parts of a female and their functions in life. None of which Sebok had learned in biology.
