SFMC Table of Organization

Below is a basic and general outline of the manpower compositions for each unit size in the Star Fleet Marine Corps. Assignment, deployment, and area of operations all affect the size of the unit assigned. For example, the size of a battalion assigned to an MAS would be smaller than a battalion assigned as part of a larger unit on a planet's surface. Additionally, the size of the support personnel required, which includes the staff officers and enlisted personnel of said unit, is also dependent on different factors like those mentioned above.

Additionally, detachments assigned to Marine Assault Vessels are considered detached to the Marine Assault Fleet, although they still fall under the overall authority of their parent units, as do the Marine Assault Vessels themselves.

Fire Team

A fire team, the smallest unit, consists of 4 members:
Team Leader/grenadier (Cpl-LCpl)
Rifleman(Pvt-LCpl)
Gunner(Pvt-LCpl)
Assistant Gunner(Pvt-LCpl)

Squad

A squad consists of 3 fire teams:
Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie Teams
Squad Leader(Sgt-SSgt).

Platoon

A platoon consists of 4 squads:
1st-4th Squads
Platoon Sergeant (SSgt-GSgt)
Platoon Commander (2Lt-1Lt).

Company

A company consists of 4 platoons:
1st-3rd Platoon
HQ Platoon
First Sergeant (1Sgt)
Company Commander (1Lt-Capt)

Battalion

A battalion consists of 3-4 companies:
A-C or D-F Company
H&S Company
Battalion Sergeant Major (SgtMaj)
Battalion Commander (LtCol)

Regiment

A regiment consists of 2-3 battalions:
1st-3rd Battalion
H&S Company
Regimental Sergeant Major (SgtMaj)
Regimental Commander (Col)

Brigade

A brigade consists of 2-3 regiments:
1st-3rd Regiment
H&S Battalion
Sergeant Major(SgtMaj)
Brigade Commander (BGen).

Division

A division consists of 2-3 brigades:
1st-3rd Brigade
H&S Battalion
Division Sergeant Major(SgtMaj)
Division Commander(MGen-LGen)

Theater Command

A theater command consists of a collection of all the marine and attached units in a specific large region of operations. The theater command itself is made of up simply the Theater Commander (Gen), his staff, and the Headquarters and Support Battalion.
