Personal History
Early Life
Ana was born to an Elasian mother, Akara, and Human father, Emilio. As is all too common with Elasian females, Ana's father fell in love with her mother, as a result of the hormone reaction produced by Akara's tears. Since it is only a one way street in these cases, Akara did not feel the same way for Emilio as he did for her, and eventually left him. She forfeit her parental rights to Ana as well, all before Ana turned 10 years of age. Ana was an adequate student through secondary school, but also had her fair share of discipline problems. She was able to secure an appointment to Star Fleet Academy thanks to her God Father, a retired admiral and former superintendent of SFA.
Star Fleet Academy
Ana did just fine as a cadet, not outstanding, but not poorly either. She was very interested in Baseball and played for the Academy team. Her physical fitness and mental focus caught the eye of the security instructors during her first year, who then convinced her to train as a security cadet. She did so, and found herself loving every minute of her security training. She became very close with her roommate during her 4th year, a woman named Erin Pierce. They became very close and got to know each other very well. However, when they were assigned to different areas of the fleet, they discontinued speaking.
Star Base Bravo
Putting aside the loss of her close relationship with Pierce, Ana dedicated herself to her work, and impressed many as a new and motivated Midshipman security officer. It was during her time on Bravo where she began to experiment with water color, but never told a soul about it. She started an inter-department baseball league in the holodeck on Bravo, and even got members of other departments to form teams as well. Additionally, Ana became known as somewhat as a party-girl, because she was always in the mood for going out on the promenade with groups of people and staying up to all hours of the evening having a good time. She hardly allowed her recreation to interfere with her work, and earned recognition and commendation quickly. When a choice slot opened up on the Ticonderoga, her superiors suggested it to her, recommended her to personnel, and she was quickly given the assignment.

Ana received her orders to report to the Chief of Security, USS Ticonderoga, while the vessel was on shore leave, as well as undergoing several personnel shifts and an extensive refit. She was excited to be embarking on such an exciting new leg of her life and career.

Personality: Ana can be overbearing at times. Some would say she appears to be compensating for something. Nonetheless, Ana is usually one to try and get along with those around her, and at points she even tries too hard. When a situation calls for aggression, or even if Ana just thinks it does, she's known to become very hot headed, and resistant to cooling her temper down very quickly.
Sense of Humor: Ana likes to joke around with others. Unless the situation calls for it, she is frequently lighthearted.
Phobias: Germs. Ana is closeted germaphobic.
Likes: Dancing, going out to eat and drink, kareoke but only when she's been drinking

Distinguishing Features: Ana has a tattoo of a single red rose, which she got one night during her 4th year at the academy. She had been drinking too much, and regretted it in the morning. She keeps it as a reminder to keep herself in check. It's location is somewhere that very few people will ever see.
Friends: Ana is congenial with most she meets, but has yet to form any strong particular bonds with anyone she knows. Her friends are usually just friends of the moment, but don't last once circumstances change.
Personal Paradigm Shifts
Most Painful Experience: When her mother left, without saying goodbye or anything to her ever again.
Best Time: Earning the respect of her instructors her first year, when they selected her for security training based on their observations of her abilities.
Most Crucial Experience: Meeting her 4th year Academy roommate, Erin Price. While no longer friends, they formed a bond that would impact Ana's sense of self and self-discovery for the rest of her life.
Role Model: Her father. Emilio Rojas raised a daughter and built his own business, while maintaining a clean character and providing his daughter with a solid role model.
