Imperial Fleet

Riov is the second-highest officer rank of the Romulan Imperial Fleet. It has been translated into English as Commander. An officer who has achieved the rank of Riov has earned a senior level of command. An erei'Riov may command a starship or a military facility, or they may be in charge of administrative sections of the Fleet.

Riov is equivalent to the rank of Captain in Star Fleet.

Tal'Shiar

Riov is the highest rank of the Tal'Shiar. It has been translated into English as General.
