Personal History

Keldis was born an only child on Bajor but his parents learned of his telepathic ability at a young age, they moved to Betazed for training and protection, though he learned about both of his heritages and decided to combine the two as best he could. Otherwise, his life wasn’t that eventful.

Most of Keldis’ career was split between history and science, as he had an affinity for both. He also dabbed in archaeology and medicine, though science was always his favorite. He was always studying one or the other as they continually intertwined in his work and it paid off eventually when he was offered a teaching job at the University of Betazed, being the youngest to ever be offered a position there.

He taught several subjects during his tenure, including mathematics, astronomy, cosmology, and physics. When he turned 21, his parents wanted him to marry, instead he entered Starfleet Academy as a science cadet, much to the dismay of his overprotective parents who wanted a simple life for their son.

Keldis reassured them that science was possibly the less dangerous position and they tentatively agreed. Keldis served on several ships, each mission more dangerous than the last. Fearing he wouldn’t survive another mission, he opted to transfer to Starfleet Academy.
