The star Regulus

Located in the Alpha Leonis system, in the Beta Quadrant, Regulus is the name of the system's star and primary planet.

Regulus (the star), also known as Alpha Leonis, is located three hundred light years from the Bajoran system.

• Regulus I - Alternate names of Horus and Hearthside

• Before the year 2009, the Regulan system was a protectorate of the Confederacy of Vulcan.
• After more than three centuries, the Regulans petitioned for independence, and became a Federation member state

• Regulus II - Also known as Osiris or Arodi, this is the homeworld of the Regulan blood worm
• Regulus III - Also known as Khepri, it is located three hundred light years from Deep Space 9
• Regulus IV - Also called Khonsu,
• Regulus V - Inhabited planet, home to the animal the eel-bird

• In order to mate, the eel-bird must return to the caverns from which they were hatched, every eleven years
