Personal History
Born to a half-Vulcan, half-Human father and a Betazoid mother, Allanon’s life has not been an easy one. The youngest of three children, Allanon spent the early part of his life following his father from ship to ship and mission to mission. When he was ten, Allanon’s father was killed when his ship was destroyed. His last act was to ensure that his family was safe in a lifepod. While his siblings moved off to meet their destinies, Allanon moved home with his mother, working at her family’s restaurant and learning to properly use his mild empathic talents.
Allanon spent a short time studying psychology on earth, before another family tragedy brought him back to Betazed. His sister, a diplomat with the Federation, had been murdered by a Romulan spy. Angry at the Federation that had, in his view, allowed his father and sister to be killed, Allanon feuded with his brother, now a Lieutenant in Starfleet, and his mother, now herself a Federation counselor. After one particularly nasty fight, Allanon, now in his early twenties, found work on the first passenger ship he could, using his talents as a bartender and cook to run away from everything.
After a few years of soul searching and sightseeing, Allanon was once again changed by a Federation tragedy. By sheer coincidence, he found himself reuniting with his estranged mother on Starbase 18 on the day the Krynar attacked. In the midst of all of the chaos, Allanon watched as several Starfleet officers gave their lives to try and save civilians. With his mother’s guidance, Allanon came to terms with Starfleet, and after insisting his mother retire to Betazed, he contacted his brother and found work on Starfleet ships.
Personality Profile
Hobbies and Pastimes: Allanon fancies himself a bit of a holo-novelist, and likes to use his knowledge of different world’s histories and geography, as well as his psychological training, to narrative effect.
Short-Term Goals: Ingratiate himself with the C-T crew, and help them find peace during the most stressful moments
Long-Term Goals: Use his skills and transition to an unofficial ship’s counsellor
Personality: Allanon’s time travelling has left him a good listener. His Vulcan analytical skills have made him an excellent problem-solver, and his Betazoid and Human sides have left him an understanding of human emotions and pleasures. In addition, his very mild empathic talents assist in understanding those who enter his bar.
Sense of Humor: Allanon likes to be sarcastic, but uses this as a means of relieving tension when he meets new people or attempts to get them to open up.
Likes: Allanon loves human coffee, as well as the foods of the Japan region of earth, northern Betazed, and Risa.
Dislikes: Allanon dislikes tight spaces, though he isn’t necessarily claustrophobic.
Bad Habits or Vices: Allanon has a habit of “spacing out” for a moment, “taking in the vibes” of a room and losing himself in the waves of emotions of those around him.
Strengths: Allanon’s greatest strengths are his ability to empathize, understand, and listen. Plus, he would tell you, he makes a mean dessert.
Weaknesses: Allanon finds that sometimes he has trouble balancing the different sides of his nature. Occasionally, the Vulcan piece of him finds itself at odds with the Betazoid side, and he finds himself especially torn between logic and emotion.
Fears: Allanon is deeply afraid of losing those he cares about. He is deeply protective of his family and those on the crew he gets to know.
Prejudices: Allanon finds himself turned off by anyone whose motivation leans purely towards self-gain
Off Duty Clothing Tastes: For clothing, Allanon prefers soft, deeply colored shirts and dark, usually black, pants.
