Personal History
Kieran was born into a very loving family. At his birth, his father was on a diplomatic mission to Earth as a Trill Ambassador, and his mother was on LOA to Trill because she wanted her son to be born on their home planet. Kieran grew up in many different places. With his father being an Ambassador, Kieran and his family were forced to move around on a regular basis. Most of his teenage years were spent on Earth, which is where Kieran picked up a lot of hobbies that are normally enjoyed by humans. While on Earth, Kieran met Ryan Morrow, whose parents were also Diplomats, and the two soon became best friends. Kieran's mother was a Star Fleet Doctor, and after the assasination of her husband and Kieran's father, retired from Star Fleet and returned to Trill to live out the remainder of her days.
When Kieran was 13 years old, his father was on a Diplomatic mission to a hostile race trying to arrange a peace treaty. The death of his father devastated Kieran for a very long time. Eventually, Kieran was enrolled in the Symbiote Joining Selection and became the first member of his family to be joined to a Symbiote at the age of 18, changing his name from Kieran Perriante to Kieran Qal. After he was joined to Qal, Kieran decided to follow in his mother's footsteps and entered into a prestigious medical school on Trill. After graduating from Medical School with very high honors, Kieran applied to and was accepted into the Star Fleet Academy.
