Platoon

A Platoon is an assembly of four Squads working together toward a common goal, led by a Lieutenant and a Platoon Sergeant.

A Platoon generally contains a minimum of 54 Marines.

Unit Composition

First Squad

Consists of three Fire Teams and a Squad Leader.

Second Squad

Consists of three Fire Teams and a Squad Leader.

Third Squad

Consists of three Fire Teams and a Squad Leader.

Fourth Squad

Consists of three Fire Teams and a Squad Leader.

Platoon Sergeant (SSgt-GSgt)

Platoon Sergeants are typically armed with a PR-1 Assault Rifle, P-1 Pistol, a standard issue Marine Tactical Survival Knife, and 3-4 Photon Grenades. A Platoon Sergeant is responsible for assisting and protecting the Platoon Commander, and coordinating the efforts of the Platoon’s Squads in carrying out the Commander’s orders.

Platoon Commander (2Lt-1Lt)

Platoon Commanders are typically armed with a PR-1 Assault Rifle, a P-1 Pistol, and a standard issue Marine Tactical Survival Knife. Platoon Commanders provide leadership to the Platoon, and the Squads and Fire Teams that make it up. As an Officer, Platoon Commanders are expected not to put themselves in harm’s way unless absolutely necessary.
