Personal History
Phaedra was born as the youngest of three siblings that were born to a Vulcan father and human mother. She was the baby of the family and the apple of her father's eye. For some reason the two bonded, and it was likely because her father, before retiring, had been a Starfleet Security officer. Phaedra was always much more rough and tumble than the other children he and his wife had and the two seemed to be cut from the same cloth. She was always close to him, and he was a Master at Taekwondo and taught her in the dojo as he had all his children. Though his other two children had eventually gone their own way Phae seemed to flourish in the heavily disciplined structure.
She struggled in school, she was smart, but she just didn't apply herself as much as she could have. She much preferred sports to anything academic and only kept her grades high enough to participate. She graduated school without much affair, and a whole bunch of trophies and medals for tournaments and sports. She was a highly active person and sitting behind a desk was not something she was interested in. She applied to Starfleet Academy but was rejected due to her grades and not being able to pass entrance exams. Not to be deterred, she enlisted and began to go through basic training so that she could at the very least follow in a similar path to her father.
Once she finished Basic and went through all her exams, she was assigned to the USS Gettysburg and began her career. There she fell into life fairly quickly. She enjoyed being on the ship and she enjoyed the close knit life of a Security team. She worked hard and continued to rise through the ranks. On the ship, when she was a PO3 she met her future husband. Mazen was a medic and no one thought they would end up together. Everyone was surprised at his spine when he walked across Ten Forward and sat down across from her where she was drinking alone. He told her that she should never drink alone, she was far too beautiful for that. Which earned him a hearty laugh, and a conversation.
She had expected him to leave her alone once he realized they had little in common. He was a medic, her job was literally to hurt people for a living. Sure, she protected people too, but she hurt others in the process. But, he didn't leave her alone. He found her in hallways, nodded to her every time he saw her on duty, sought her out when she was off duty. He took her on dates, and told her about his home world. They went on dates in the holodeck on his planet, and she loved every moment. He turned to be more physically inclined than she originally thought he would be and they found a mutual love for climbing and hiking and exploring various worlds and the like.
Eventually, he took her home to meet his family and it was there that he asked her to marry him. She decided to keep her last name, since it was something she had been working herself up with all along, but they were fully married when they returned to their ship. They lived together and shared a Quarters, though it was small and barely had enough room for the both of them. Eventually, she found out she was pregnant, they had decisions to make after that, and while it was a hard decision she decided that when they got on their next leave she would take a position on Bravo.
Having applied for a new position, she was accepted, and she left her husband behind on the Gettysburg in order to keep her family safe, and to have more room to raise her beloved son. When Xane was born, it was the best day of her life and she was lucky that Mazen happened to be on leave the day that it happened. They took their son home and loved him desperately while they could, and when her husband left she stayed on. Raising Xane as best as she could alone and having frequent calls and visits from her husband when he could.
After a while, she was promoted to PO1 and her job became even more important but she fell into loving the pace of life on Bravo and watching her son grow. Her hope is that one day Mazen can come and live with them on Bravo but she is proud of her husband and loves him dearly.
Personality Profile
Hobbies and Pastimes: Spending time with her son, reading, walking, finding new adventures, holo programs.
Personality: Phae tends to be the sort of person that has her guard up almost constantly unless she is with her son or her husband. She has seen the depths of evil in the universe and been part of the fight against it. However, once you get her to open up you will see that she's a woman that loves life and her family. She does whatever she can to protect her family and takes care of Bravo like it's her own. Having worked hard to achieve the rank she is, skyrocketing through them with her dedication to her job and her love for protecting people. When she is with her sun, she is happy and joyful. She loves watching him grow, to be so caring like his father, and to be determined and strong like his mother. She loves to spend time with him.
Sense of Humor: Surprisingly, She has a fun sense of humor, she loves to laugh, and enjoys a good time despite being fairly serious on duty.
