Outpost 47 was a Cardassian outpost, located in the Almatha sector, along the Demilitarized Zone.
It served as both a Cardassian defense line, and as advanced warning against any hostiles.
Historical significance
In 2371, Outpost 47 was attacked and destroyed by the USS Defiant, NX-74205, which had been hijacked by Thomas Riker.
