Personal History

Miraiyia also known as Mia to her friends, grew up on Betazed her parents left her with her grandparents because they did not want there Daughter to grow up on a starfleet ship, they did visit her from time to time when they had shore leave, and they always sent her gifts, growing up Mia had a best friend called Ulia a Human female that lived on Betazed because her father was positioned there for a few years, they did everything together from playing in the Zara Forrest to going to school together they even went to the Betazoid science Academy to study cybernetics and Xeno Studies. Miraiyia spent most of her Starfleet career at the Academy, she had been an Instructor for several years after a while she started to crave adventure and going into space, so she choose to give up her position at the Academy and apply to join a starship.

The opportunity came when her Cousin Ki'sa, Orano had passed away, the news struck her hard because Ki'sa and her self where very close, they did almost everything together she considered Ki'sa not only as a best friend but as her little sister. she was heart broken when she could not attend her funeral so much so she locked her self in her quarters for a month.

Miraiyia had to have extensive counselling through out her life, she suffered from headaches due to her condition, unlike most Betazoids whom develop there Telepathic abilities when they reach puberty, she was in fact Born with the ability which caused her much pain and suffering through out her childhood, she spent several years in the hospital on Betazed, the Doctors there would help train her to cope with her abilities, over time it had became more bearable but sometimes if she dose not meditate she can loose focus and she can become unstable. She has been under going treatment at Starfleet medical and has shown some improvement and was allowed to join starfleet, she had to have star fleets Doctors evaluate her condition before she became an Instructor at the Academy otherwise she would not be able to join if she was to unstable.
