A standard Federation occular implant is a medical device designed to replace or augment a damaged or missing visual organ. By 2373, it had replaced the VISOR entirely. It is similar in appearance to a normal humanoid eye, but retains a blue color and mechanized detail in the iris and pupils. It is more advanced than the humanoid eye, with similar capabilities of the VISOR including vision in the ultraviolet and infrared spectrums, and a telescoping lens.
