Personal History

Jack grew up in a home that valued hard work, honesty, and integrity. In High School, Jack worked part time for the City of Boise’s Maintenance Department, where his father was an assistant manager. He enlisted in SFMC at age 18, and married his high school sweetheart two years later. Their first child, Robert Steven, was born a year later. Two years later, the couple had their second child, Becka Dawn. Jack spent this time working his way up the ranks to Sergeant. Then the General War broke out, and Jack was promoted to Staff Sergeant two years into the war. During the war he saw action as a Squad Leader, fighting primarily against the Cardassians and Jem’Hadar along the way. After the War, he and Hailey had twin daughters, Megan Lynn and Robin Louise. Also after the War, Jack was recommended for Officer Candidate School. He graduated from OCS at the top of his class, with the rank of First Lieutenant. He was promoted to Captain during the Fleet reorganization, and served as a Company Commander during the Second Romulan War and the Borg Invasion. On Stardate 20409.13, Jack was promoted to Major, and assigned as Battalion Executive Officer. Jack Served as Battalion Executive Officer until his Commanding Officer, Lt Col Henry Jacobsen, retired on Stardate 20801.01. Due to manpower shortages, Jack was assigned as Battalion Commander, though he lacked the necessary time in service as a commissioned officer to be promoted to Lieutenant Colonel. Due to the eleven years he spent as an enlisted man, Jack is older than usual for a Major, just as he has always been somewhat older than other officers of his rank.
