Personal History

As a kid on Caitilan, Argent used to stare up at the stars at night and wonder what was out there. This led to his hobby of astronomy. Eventually, he learned that there were a lot of worlds, a lot of species, and a lot of unexplored space out there! He’d always been interested in technical things, as well, so his stargazing hobby inevitably led him to apply for StarFleet. Until he was accepted at Starfleet Academy, he went to the University of Caitilan in FeliCity.

Personality Profile

Academy Major(s): Communications, sensors, hyper-dynamics, quantum physics
Academy Minor(s): Art, computers, replicators
Hobbies and Pastimes: Astronomy, martial arts (particularly judo and kendo), Cygnan \b{ronomo} (yoga), mystery novels, the games of Kalevian montar, kadis-kot and Strategema (though he’s not very good at any of them), and word games.
Short-Term Goals: To seek out new worlds and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before, and to find some new phenomena that will capture his imagination.
Long-Term Goals: To explore the universe—ALL of it!
Personality: Usually easy-going, but gets very annoyed with anything that smacks of fanaticism to him.
Sense of Humor: Average, but hates stupid humor.
Phobias: Dogs!
Likes: Space, cats, starships, cats, outdoors, cats, crossbows, cats, bows, cats, Aldebaran whiskey and… cats!
Dislikes: Temporal physics, raktajeno and people that treat him like a kitty-cat.
Pet Peeves or Gripes: Arrogant or boastful Klingons. He’s convinced that those types of Klingons are ‘much ado about nothing’, that their boasting covers up insecurities and ineptitudes.
Bad Habits or Vices: Avoids contact with dogs.
Achievements: Before he went to Starfleet Academy, he and his associate, Varn Esfandari, were awarded the Merendevel Award in Science for their work on quantum hyper particles that allowed a 1% increase in communication ranges. This pre-eminence is probably what got him accepted to Starfleet Academy.
Disappointments: Losing his ‘one true love’, Tya Keira. She just wasn’t as interested in him as he was in her, and she went off to the Ferasa Medical Institute while he went to Starfleet Academy.
Illnesses: Cyr-Caitian blue fever, broken tail.
Strengths: Strong will, ability to follow commands well, innovative thinking in science.
Weaknesses: Stubbornness sometimes get the better of him.
Fears: Failure, dying alone.
Prejudices: Non-cat people—never trust someone who doesn’t like cats!
Off Duty Clothing Tastes: Tends to wear one-piece jumpsuits in muted or earth tones—gray, olive drab, tan, khaki, rust brown, umber—but he has been known to wear bright colors on special occasions.
Distinguishing Features: Cat-like facial features, purring manner of speech, tail
Pets: A designer Cymric cat named Mercury
Friends: Telva Kaluga, a joined Trill medical cadet he met a Starfleet Academy

Personal Paradigm Shifts

Most Painful Experience: Getting his tail stepped on and broken by a rampaging thunder beast.
Best Time: His 15th birthday celebration at the Interplanetary Space Zoo (in spite of getting his tail broken).
Most Crucial Experience: Getting to go on a field trip to Ssassarrano Observatory when he was 7 and getting to look through the telescope where he saw a comet.
Role Model: Professor Akarrar who ran the Ssassarrano Observatory.
