Personal History
Mollie was born in Falls Church, VA to Samuel and Diana Matts. She grew up in the world of journalism; her father was an editor for the local newspaper. In high school, Mollie was the anchor for the school's news program in her junior and senior year. Her teachers thought she had a natural talent in front of the camera and as a writer and suggested that she pursue a career in journalism.
After graduating high school, she attened New York University where she received her undergraduate degree in broadcast journalism. Shortly after that, she attended the University of Alpha Centauri where she received her graduate degree in communications. After schooling, she was hired by the Federation News Network. She worked her way up from the staff reporter position to the Managing Editor of the FNN's Star Fleet News Bureau.
She currently resides in Falls Church, but her work often takes her around the Federation so she rarely spends time there.
