The Mars Heritage Site is a location on Mars which signifies an artifact and place of importance to the planet's history.
Positioned near the planet's verteron array, it is surrounded by a safety perimeter.
It includes displays of the Carl Sagan Memorial Station, as well as the NASA rover Sojourner.
Sojourner landed on Mars in 1997, and the landing location was later named the "Carl Sagan Memorial Station."
By 2155, a monument stood in the location and was renamed the Mars Heritage Site.
