Personal History
Born in Stirling, Scotland. To Douglas and Lynda. Spent his formative years growing up around the city of Stirling. At the age of 6 however the family had to move as Lynda had opened her own restaurant and wished to live near. So they moved to a little village 10miles south of Stirling called Banknock. A year after moving his father was given a promotion to Lieutenant and posted to serve on the science vessel USS Darwin, an Equinox class science vessel. There first mission would take Douglas away from his family for 18months.
The time his father spent away had no adverse affect on Stewart he did become closer to his mum and sister. His sister Lynne was fiercely protective of her little brother, so much in fact that when one of the local bullies picked on Stewart, she took the boy aside and hit him thus persuading all bullies to stay away from Stewart.
The time passed quickly and Stewart's father returned, with a well earned one months shore leave. After the month he was again off to with the Darwin only it would be a shorter voyage of only 3 months. It was at this point that Stewart's fascination with engineering began to surface. His enthusiasm was so much that his father decided to take him on the trip.
The Equinox class are not large starships but they have the facilities to cater for some families on board. So thus it was with Captain Muir's permission that the young Stewart was allowed on the trip. Before setting off the ship bade farewell to their Chief Engineer Hiro as he was retiring, to teach at a local school in his hometown. Thus Stewart was present to witness his father promotion to Lieutenant Commander and Chief Engineer of the Darwin. Also as a field promotion the young Stewart was made a Crewman 2nd Class Engineer's Mate. Stewart loved his time on the Darwin, as the Chief Engineer's mate he got to follow his father and learn about the engines and the workings of a starship. Although as an Engineer's mate his duties involved holding the tools and replicating the tea.
Personality Profile
Hobbies and Pastimes: Has an interest in earth history and the development of Star Fleet. Particularly interested in the achievements of Star Fleet Engineers. His hero is Montgomery Scott and his achievements in Star Fleet. Is a keen player of 3D chess. Has also developed a couple of holodeck programs for hill-walking and camping.
Short-Term Goals: To become Chief Engineer.
Long-Term Goals: Command my own starship.
Likes: Passionate about food, especially traditional home cooking.
Dislikes: Has a extreme distrust of Romulans.
Achievements: Has only the one achievement to date and that was winning an Engineering prize in his home town.
Disappointments: Greatest disappointment is his father is not alive to see his entry to Star Fleet.
Strengths: Has a gift for working within engineering. He stems from a line of Star Fleet officers within the family.
Weaknesses: A deeply emotional individual who is prone to irrational outbursts.
