The Ligon orbital control station was a facility in orbit of Ligon II, and acted as a liaison between starships and the planetary government.
In 2364, the USS Enterprise, NCC-1701-D sent a message to this station requesting communication from the Ligonian government after the abduction of Lieutenant Natasha Yar.
The station and the planet it orbited was the source of a rare vaccine, which was the primary reason the Enterprise-D visited the system.
