Personal History

Ezric was born to Peter and Meagan Lemming at their family farm in Kahlas, Alpha Centari. From a young age, Ezric was restless with life on the family farm. He idealized his father’s stories of his time in Starfleet. Peter had retired from Starfleet years earlier to live a quite life with wife. When he was old enough, Ezric enlisted in Starfleet. Upon completing basic training, went to the academy for his MOS training of combat engineering and electronic warfare.

Upon graduation in 2398, the crewman recruit was assigned to the U.S.S. Valley Forge, where he served through the Pulsar Incident. It was during these years that he met his wife Monica, who was an engineering crewman from Ireland, Earth. She later gave birth to their son Shamus. Lemming was part of the strike team sent to recover the mighty battleship. He was injured during the mission when he a disruptor bolt meant for the Lieutenant in charge of his squad. As a result of his actions, Lemming was promoted Crewman and awarded a Starfleet Commendation Medal. He then transferred the to the newly commissioned U.S.S Philadelphia along with his family.

It was aboard the Philadelphia that Ezric’s life would be forever altered. The foundation of his friendship with then Lieutenant J.G. Quillian Dramar formed due to a practical joke that went awry. It was that friendship which would help Lemming through the darkest time of his life. In December of 2401 shortly after the Second Federation/Romulan War broke out, a romulan saboteur aboard the Philadelphia detonated a bomb onboard. The Sheridan had responded a distress call and missed its rendezvous with the U.S.S. Tellan which would have taken the civilians off the Sheridan prior to her deployment to the front line. Unfortunately, Lemming’s wife and son were killed in the blast.

The traitor, T’Kel, had stolen a shuttle and escaped the Philadephia which had been disabled by the blast and was unable to pursue. Petty Officer Lemming nearly went mad with rage. He received special permission from Starfleet search for T’Kel and spent the next year scouring the Alpha Quadrant for him. Lemming’s search eventually led him to meet up with the Philadelphia which had engaged romulan forces near the neutral zone. It was aboard the romulan star cruiser that Lemming met up with T’Kel. It was brutal fight in which Lemming beat T’Kel mercilessly. Lemming was about to strike the final blow was Lieutenant Dramar, who had been part of the boarding party, found the two of them. He managed to convince Lemming not to become a murderer like T’Kel. Lemming would later say that it was Dramar who had prevented his life spiraling out of control.

Lemming served aboard the Philadelphia through the remainder of the war and then through Borg war. When Dramar was promoted to Captain and assigned command of the U.S.S. Sheridan, PO1 Lemming transferred with him. He was eventually promoted to Chief Petty Officer, and then to Senior Chief Petty officer when he become Chief of the Boat.
