Personal History

Kurok had a mostly uneventful early life, growing up on a minor world who's only value was mining raw metals that could be used in the construction of star ships and space stations. He worked in the mines until he was recruited into the Imperial Defense Forces.

He had an unremarkable career for several years, moving up only slightly in the ranks before he was caught during one shoreleave while mating with the daughter of his commanding officer. The two engaged in combat, and he killed the father. Normally as this was honorable combat, he would have gained power and influence; but as he was delivering the deathblow, the daughter leapt between them and Kurok sliced her down the center. He was convicted of killing an unarmed person--a most dishonorable charge--and was sentenced to nine years of hard labor. He served his time mostly in isolation, and when his term was up he worked as a civilian farmer on an out of the way world for a few years before returning to the military. His honor was officially restored and he was granted the right to serve, but starting at Warrior 3rd Class.
