Personal History

Spencer was born In Corvallis, Oregon. Having married his high school sweetheart at 19, Spencer and Kayla decided to move to Arizona. While in Arizona, Spencer was able to follow one of his lifelong passions. He flew propeller driven aircraft for the aeronautic history museum and loved every minute of it.

Spencer's mother passed away soon after they moved to Arizona from a rare bacterial infection. Spencer was devastated and began to immerse himself in topics regarding advanced warp theory, technical schematics of starships or anything that had to do with repairing things that were broken. Over the course of the next 9 years Spencer's relationship with Kayla waned as his love of the engineering aspect of starships began to consume him. Further and further apart they grew until, one day, Kayla decided that Spencer loved his work more than his wife. Kayla left Spencer, and Spencer took time to put his life back together.

Now at age 36, he realizes that he has started a little late in life with Star Fleet. The last four years have confirmed that this was the right choice for him. Spencer sees his age as an asset rather than a liability. Hard work has never been an issue with Spencer. The challenge for him will be finding people who understand him

Hobbies and Pastimes: Reading 20th century Science Fiction novels, piston fired engines and propeller driven aircraft
Short-Term Goals: To be the best at whatever job is given to him. Spencer doesn't complain about hard work, he was raised a hard worker. He does want to move up in the ranks. However, "moving up" does not have to mean a promotion. Name recognition with his superiors is something that suits him just fine as well
Long-Term Goals: To be chief engineer of a starship
Personality: On the outside, Spencer shows warmth and a genuine happy demeanor that makes everyone smile. However, Spencer can hold grudges and can be quite passive aggressive. This ends up being a bad combination as Spencer's communication skills are lacking when it comes to expressing displeasure
Sense of Humor: Dry and cynical. However, Spencer has been known to be a complete "cheeseball" with the puns from time to time

Dislikes: Unfortunately, Spencer does not really indicate to anyone that he dislikes many things. This is unfortunate because he dislikes a great deal of things. He fears to disclose these dislikes as they might give another pause. This causes a tremendous amount of stress in his life, as he tries to suppress these emotions. He struggles with this, and attempts to not let it interfere with his duties
