Personal History

Chris' parents were married before Chris was born. Chris was joined to symbiote named Kane as Chris was a successful applicant to the Trill Symbiosis Commission.

Chris had an excellent education when he was younger. His father and mother would encourage him to solve equations and puzzles which stimulated his mind and so got through his school years with merits from every subject. He also spent some time in the Marine Cadets and passed that and was almost accepted into the Marine Corps, but Chris’ father refused for him to join.

Chris used to go on missions with his parents, researching new life forms and new technologies. However, on one occasion at the age of 19 Chris and his new found lover Jonny were out in the town and got into a fight with one of the life forms and they had a knife, this is how Chris gained the scar over his left eye he also lost his left eye during the fight. Chris was rushed to the hospital where doctors were forced to give him an occular implant. While not like a normal eye, the implant did have benefits such as being able to see in different spectrums and allowing him to zoom in on different objects.

After this incident Chris' parents retired from Star Fleet and moved to Earth. Chris had already moved back to Earth into Jonny's house and Jonny proposed.

This gave Chris a renewed hope on what was right. Protecting his family is the reason why he joined Star Fleet and will serve it until his dying breath.

This is why he chose to take Defensive Systems and Shield Physics as his majors. So he could not let anyone who he cares about die and to protect his comrades. He is so passionate about this that he decided to be an engineer as it would be his job to help make sure shields and other crucial systems were online. He chose warp-field engineering as a minor because he though most engineers would have that as a major, and he wanted to focus on something specific. He also took Piloting as a minor just incase of an emergency such as needing to fly a shuttle or in the worst case scenario, a starship

Chris gained a gold achievement with merit for his Shield Physics class as this is what his father specialised in, and as a child Chris used to always try to help his dad and ended up getting so interested in the subject.

Chris has split up with Jonathan as Jonathan didn’t want to be married to someone where there was a chance of the person he loved dying at almost any possible time. So they came to a mutual decision that if Chris ever retires from Star Fleet they would be together again.

His symbiote Kane had been host to one other host named Danzo a male trill.

[Classified, Level One Clearance Required] Once Chris graduated from Starfleet Academy he was assigned to the USS Drake. Within the first day of being aboard the Drake received the orders for her mission, a distress call from the planet Tekna. On the way, Chris was put in charge of the Bridge while the senior staff had a meeting about the mission, however, Chris in his error of judgement caused a great tragedy aboard the Drake, causing the shields to go offline whilst in Warp crippling the ship severely, this caused massive injuries throughout the ship, but only resulted in the loss of one life which Chris had never forgiven himself for, and visits the Engineers grave who saved the ship from his mistake on a regular basis. This incident caused Chris to start working on a project to help protect ships within Starfleet from the same mistake which he had made. As a result of this incident Chris went back to the Academy and trained especially in Defensive Systems and Defensive Tactics. [Unclassified.]

Chris then got promoted to Ensign and was assigned to the USS Dauntless, which carried on the mission from the USS Drake, to answer the distress call from the planet Tekna. Whilst on the way there Chris had the chance to show off the project which he had been working on since the dreadful accident caused by him on the USS Drake, the Secondary Shield, it was first introduced on the USS Dauntless on a probe which impressed the Senior staff and passed its initial test. Then it moved onto a shuttlecraft, which Captain Wong at the time allowed Chris to modify a shuttle for the chance that they could test it. When they arrived Stafleet managed to save thousands of lives but many more had been lost as of the result of the natural disasters on the planet Tekna, which caused a depression through most officers on the Dauntless. A few of the younger officers on the way back from Tekna offered to stay behind in a shuttle to try and figure out what caused it. Chris was incharge of the team as the shuttle that they were using was the prototype for the Secondary shield, which came in handy but gained contempt from a certain Order.

[Classified, Level One Clearance Required] Whilst in charge of the Survey Mission on Tekna, the shuttle and it's crew made a discovery, an Obsidian Order outpost. Chris and the shuttlecraft crew fought against the small outpost and destroyed it, but not before finding out about Tekna, that the planet was actually alive. The Obsidian Order had records of this happening a few hundred years before hand, and had waited for it to have happened again. Luckily, the shuttle's crew stopped a staging area against the Federation, but in order to stop a war from starting, Chris gave the order to destroy the shuttle which was trying to escape, but not before in sent a transmission about the Secondary Shield technology. [Unclassified.]

Chris then got promoted to Lieutenant and became the Chief Engineer of the USS Sheridan, a Destroyer. This gave Chris the chance to test his Secondary Shield in the field with one of his first missions aboard the Sheridan, converting a Cargo Bay into a shield generator. Once the Secondary Shield proved itself, the next chance we were at Starbase Delta, the Engineering crew there with the help of Chris, re-fitted Engineering to include the Secondary Shield completely, still with the same security measures and overrides as the prototype. One of the first missions was on the planet Carraya in which Starfleet was told about the pending Supernova that could destroy Romulus.

[Classified Level One Authorisation Required] Once this meeting was over Chris had met up with an old friend Tara ch'Thane, who got kidnapped by the Obsidian Order. They basically wanted the Secondary Shield Technology in exchange for her life, so Chris had to go and get help in the form of LCdr Tokat, who helped Chris infiltrate the Obsidian Orders base so that they could rescue ch'thane. The Obsidian Order simply transported away after being defeated but they didnt leave bit before.

During Chris' short time on the Ticonderoga, he was invited to Starbase Bravo's Dockyards at Commodore Braggins' request, they were shown an old battered freighter named 'Renegade'. The mission was to get the freighter into working order then go to an area of space to infiltrate a Starbase dealing in contraband, during the time onboard Chris had to deal with a number of problem's involving the Renegade's Warp Core, during one of the attempts to fix the Warp Core, and Officer did the opposite to Chris' orders and weakened the Magnetic Interlocks on the Warp Core, causing a Coolant Pipe to rupture in Chris' face causing him severe burns and his optical implant to break, luckily enough, during this mission they had a very adept medic on board to give him First Aid so he could fix the Warp Core with the help of other members of the small crew. They eventually escaped and returned to Starbase Bravo where Chris had reconstructive surgery on his face and then had his optical implant repaired by Engineers on Starbase Bravo
