Personal History
The "middle" child in a rare Vulcan triples. He and his brothers were adopted by Julia and Hithcliff Westnetter at a early age, and raised as if they were human children. This transition was not easy for children of Vulcan ancestry, specifically since they never got the chance to suppress their emotions as most of their kind so often does at a young age. Growing up on the crime-infested planet of Typhon IV, Jodah and his brothers became involved with the Orion Syndicate as young men. Though the three were seen as nothing more then disposable lackeys at first, they quickly proved themselves worthy of more trust and responsibilities within the organization.
At the age of 45, the Syndicate decided that they three had matured and grown enough to be trusted as muscle for their dealings. For the next 67 years, Jodah spent squeezing out a meagre living as hired help for the most powerful criminal organization in the quadrant. He was happy, until a beat down job went horrible wrong. The Syndicate sent him and his brothers to intimidate, through force, a local merchant who was withholding protection money. Jarsyl, always the most violent of the triplets, went too far and ended up killing the merchant, and to make matters worse, was overheard doing so under Syndicate threats. Much to Jodah's horror, the Syndicate made an example of his poor younger brother and had him killed.
Realizing what he was doing was wrong, Jodah left the only life he had ever known. He spent the next few years pulling odd mercenary style jobs, trying his best to atone for all the misery he had caused in his life squeezing money out of unfortunates. No matter what he tried, he felt no better then on the day he found out the fate of his brother. After nearly a decade of wondering, and doing odd jobs just to get by, he decided to enlist in Starfleet, in hopes that will cleanse his soul of the guilt he feels.
