Personal History
Joshua Jackaya was born into a semi well to do family, living in Crosby on the north end of the city of Liverpool.
Being an only child meant Joshua was very close and very involved with whatever his parents did, was always the centre of there affections. Joshua's father who was head of engineering at the local power plant, Joshua often accompanied him to the plant and that is where he got his fascination with anything mechanical.
Joshua's mother a professional golfer spent a lot of time away playing in competitions around the world. As soon as Joshua was old enough to hold a club he could always be found on the local golf course practicing his swing. While Joshua's parents were always busy with there seperate endevours Joshua was lucky and fortunate enough to be able to obtain a live in nanny, her name was Gloria Joshua was very close to her and her son Heath whom was Joshua's best friend.
Heath and Joshua attended school together and were inseperable, close in everything they did acedemically, sporting endevours and searching for the affections of the local girls. Heath always unfortunatley always did better than Joshua in that department but had his fair share of success too, at the age of 14 Joshua fell in love with a beautiful local girl named Sharon Hunter. Sharon was from a less privaliged background from Joshua though and never got to see her much other than when they were at school, she was always left to look after her brothers and sisters as her mother had died in childbirth it was very hard for her, that is probably why Joshua fell in love with her and admired her so much.
After leaving school Joshua was encouraged by his father to go to university to carry on with his degree in engineering, This was the first decision that was very difficult for Joshua to make, as Joshua's golfing exploits were at this point very important to him. Encouraged by his mother and finally by his father after difficult negotiations Joshua decided to further his golfing ambitions and entered the World golfing Tour as a rookie. In between playing in golf competitions Joshua would accompany his father to the plant to keep my interest in engineering up to date, Joshua didn't want to fall behind with anything and would always help his father in the plant.
On reaching his 18th birthday, Joshua was due to go to Mars with Heath his best friend on his stag party, he was due to be married the following week. On the day before their departure Joshua was finishing off a project he had been working on for the last 3 weeks, which hopefully was going to improve energy by 12% every cycle, something his father was very proud of. Never wanting to disappoint his father Joshua maybe put too much effort into this project and while this was something he always prided himself in drive and ambition, it led to a landmark in Joshua's yet young life. After working long hours not giving himself enough rest Joshua failed to concentrate and failed to notice that a plasma tap was not closed and when completing his task the tank containing the plasma forced out of the not completely closed tap exploding plasma directly onto Joshua's left leg burning it beyond repair.
After waking up in a federation hospital with his father by his side was very confusing not really remembering what had happened just remembering the pain. Joshua's father told of his injuries he was devestated, even though Joshua was given a prosthetic lower leg Joshua never thought he would be able to play golf again. Joshua's father told me this was ridiculous but Joshua lost all his confidence and never entered the world tour again. Joshua's rehabilitation was tough but went very well he couldnt believe what the doctors did for him both physically and mentally during the healing process, this inspired Joshua to join starfleet and encouraged him to enter university which pleased both his parents especially Joshua's father.
Joshua's life at university went very well he impressed all his tutors and really excelled in quantum mechanics. Joshua's years at university flashed by with him very determined to enter starfleet and serve on a fantastic ship and serve the federation with all his expertise in engineering and a little knowledge in medicine.

Hobbies and Pastimes: Joshua's Main pastime is golf he was going to take it up profesionally, but was cut short through injury.
Short-Term Goals: Joshua is writing a book on warp theory, he is hoping to finish it in-between present duties.
Long-Term Goals: Joshua hopes to become a Chief Engineer in Starfleet one day.
Personality: Joshua has a very light humoured personality, always up for fun and adventure. (when injury allows it).
Sense of Humor: Quick witted, has a very quick mind and uses it way too much. Has got him into trouble far more times than he wishes to remember.
Phobias: Closed spaces, can handle it for short periods but too much and it affects him very badly.
Likes: Loves tinkering with engines, never stops trying to improve them was always a fascination.
Dislikes: Self important people, nothing worse than a superior officer that thinks he is above everyone, and not just in rank just being superioristic, very annoying.
Pet Peeves or Gripes: Joshua's phobia of closed spaces, has hindered his career but he does fight it.
Achievements: Joshua has reached his target goals at university, hoping this will take me towards serving as a Chief Engineer in Starfleet one day.
Disappointments: Not taking his remedial medical knowledge further, maybe it would have helped Joshua in the future.
Illnesses: Amputated left lower leg.

Weaknesses: Joshua's dreams, always aim high and he fears being disappionted.
Fears: Failing, since Joshua's accident it has been hard to keep himself focused.
