Personal History
Jericho was born on the Marine base in San Fransisco, to Fred and Lin, both active Marines at the time. Jericho started playing with guns and knives before he could walk and it looked like he had inherited is parents’ genes. Growing up on Marine bases did not really leave much room to make friends, but luckily there was another girl Amy Smith living on base. She was the same age as him, so they automatically became best friends. Jericho grew up living a normal life. He spent mornings on the shooting range with Amy and afternoons in the gym with other Marines. The gym was where Jericho really pushed himself. His species was known to be less fit than Humans and he would have none of it. Shooting came naturally, almost too natural as Jericho showed an excellent eye.
Jericho’s life and dreams of being a Marine hit a little speed bump at the age of sixteen. While Amy and he were joking through a local park, they saw a girl fall off a climbing ring. They ran to assist the girl. When they got to her, they saw she had broken her leg and the bone was protruding through the skin. That was the last thing he remembered. He woke up staring at a panicked looking Amy, It was the first time he had really seen blood and he could not handle it. He could not shake it, he tried everything, but the end results was mostly the same, he either ended up in the dirt or loosing his lunch.
Jericho was about to start looking for a new line of work for the future when one of the Marine snipers came to his rescue. It was the ideal solution for him, he could still be a Marine, but did not have to get himself covered in blood.
Jericho trained hard and became a special operations sniper. Jericho and his team were based in San Francisco and dealt with mainly internal matters and as such wasn’t really comfortable in zero gravity situations. After 3 years as a Marine, Jericho started dreaming a lot about space and the opportunities it held. Jericho applied for a transfer to the Security department of Starfleet and received his first assignment aboard the USS Avenger, serving under Captain Grant.
Jericho’s stay on the Avenger was short lived. After serving on the ship for a few months, Jericho struggled to adapt into his role on the ship. Although he enjoyed the work, he struggled to find purpose and direction and requested a transfer to the First Fleet. Ironfist didn’t wait long before he was shipped across to the USS Gettysburg.
