Intrepid:Ninth Mission - Foraging Fugitives

Starfleet command has ordered the USS Intrepid to head to Pioneer Outpost.

Just before reaching her destination, the ship was pulled out of transwarp and received a distress call from within the DMZ. The distress call is derived from a small, quick vessel inhabited by two Cardassians and two Bajorans. They claim to be simple civilians with engine trouble and require some assistance. Just before the Federation ship had sent over repair crews to the stranded ship, they receive a hail from a Cardassian Union heavy cruiser commanded by Gul Hegar. Hegar claimed that these four people aboard the stranded vessel are at large fugitives of the Cardassian Union and have been smuggling stolen goods and research in and out of the ‘Empire.’
